Which political Party is Liberal?
First lets inquire for a moment, what do we mean when we say socially liberal?
- By socially, one would assume having to do with organizing society, either through social contract, or some kind of social impact.
- Then, by liberal, one would gather a connotation of emancipation, either through academic education, or through spiritual purification, as well property.
Of the two of these perspectives, throughout history, the democrats are more known for their advancement of education, universal medical care, and other "social programs" like social security. However, in more recent years neo-liberalism has led to a more conditioned, and altogether less quality education system through common core.
The republican perspective has a federalist, aristocratic, empire mentality, at least in connotation. Today (2015) the republican party has experienced a resurgence of numbers in the house and senate-due to backlash from the perceived failures of the Obama administration. This is a foreboding sign that a new emperor is to take the throne. Individual rights may, therefore, be in peril.
